has 4 source inputs- Source 1 and Source 2 can be connected with digital optical or digital coax audio. Source 3 and Source 4 can be connected with analog audio, digital optical, or digital coax. Can be expanded up to 28 zones by using DH46X expansion hub and additional DHTP1 amplified keypads.  Each of the 28 zones can have a local source wall plate but all zones can only share from the DH44 main hub's 4 connected sources.

Only requires 1 Cat5e/ Cat6 from the DH44 main hub to DHTP1 amplified keypad for less than 150 ft. For longer runs up to 300 ft a 16/2 from the DH44 main hub to DHTP1 amplified keypad should be used.

IR receiver

Has IR input block in the rear for discrete control of any zone within the system. A single Cat5e or Cat6 can be used to connect into the IR input block. Only ONE keypad needs to be connected from an RF station output or IR connecting block in order to control ANY zone.  Discrete IR codes are available for source 1-4 and local (these commands turn on the zone also), volume up, volume down, individual zone off, and all off.

Has local source RJ45 connection in rear of DHTP1 amplified keypad to be connected to DHSIP local source wall plate.

Can not connect more than one pair of speakers to each DHTP1 amplified keypad

Has balance, bass, and treble adjustments 

Has digital optical, digital coax, or analog audio input.  Only one can be selected manually by a switch located in front of the wall plate.
